By Shea KiAre you just going through the motions at your work? I remember when I felt it was too risky to take steps to improve my career journey. Admitting I was miserable out loud felt very scary. I had worked so exhaustingly hard to get to the high level in the workforce so I could make a difference. But the environment grew more and more toxic. The workload, negativity of coworkers and lack of trustable leadership around me became unbearable. It zapped most of the energy in my tank. Giving attention to creating a thriving family, good health, or any social life outside of it was mostly impossible. I from hard lessons learned that it can drive you crazy when everything you've tried doesn't help make your work days or professional situation feel any better. I didn't know how common a problem this was until I started my own coaching practice. Many women are craving more alignment, clarity, and ease on their career journey. Are you? What if you tried a different approach that could get you SOUL EXCITED about your career journey? I had not heard this phrase "soul excited" until the wonderful Alexis Foley crossed my path recently. This phrase helps describe so well the goal I have with each of my clients, but I wasn't explaining it in this light-infused way before. Every time I see the transformations in my clients' work days or job shopping that happen after several coaching sessions together, I get SOUL EXCITED. And so do they. My Career Momentum Chat (see video below) with Alexis reminded me of how the world shifts more in our favor when we feel we are on a "path of heart". That's what I want for more women in the workplace. If you feel deep in your bones that experiencing something SOUL EXCITING about your career journey is possible, but aren't sure how to get there, this episode is for you. I also appreciate you sharing it. I want to keep reaching more professionals like you who are open to doing the inner work and outer practice that sparks them back up. Coaching others on how to boost your positive impact and career development while protecting your well-being is why I am here. It's also why I continue to bring you incredible, brave guests on the Career Momentum Chats show, like Alexis Foley. You'll see from our conversation how her career journey is unfolding in remarkable ways. It isn't easy in this world we live in to keep listening to her intuition over the opinions of others, but she is getting stronger at it everyday. Alexis also shares amazing tips during our discussion for anyone who also wants to challenge the status quo of what success is. Even though not everything feels aligned to her career desires and soul purpose yet, the joy she is allowing herself to experience along the way is contagious. I hope you get soul excited hearing more about Alexis's "path of heart" like I did!
